78th Foundation day of Blind Persons’ Association (BPA) Mumbai was organized in collaboration with Lions club of Bombay ville parle west and FRST foundation on Saturday the 19th October 2024 from 05.00 pm to 8.00pm at Sathaye college, Dixit road, ville parle east Mumbai.
This program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Madhav Rajwade Principal of Sathaye college; Sarvashree Bhavin Setia President Lions clube of Bombay ville parle west, Lion Vishal Gala and Fateh Randhwa from FRST foundation were present as guest of honor respectively.
A Blind woman Solicitor Shrimati. Kanchan Pamnani was awarded Padmshree Dr. Rajendra T. Vyas memorial award 2024 for her outstanding performance in the field of law on this auspicious occasion. Cricket commentator, umpire ,scorer Shri. Chirag Doshi had performed “Kisse cricket ke” program from 6.00pm onward. The Specially designed blind friendly jackets were distrubuted during the program on experimental bases by giving approapriate demonstration by FRST foundaton and Dr. Prachi Karkera from Lotus Eye hospital informed about the importance of eye donation. She further said that even the visually impaired person can pledge their eyes if the cornea if in good condition.
More than 150 persons participated on this auspicious occasion. The program was a grand success.
